A part of the therapy process is bringing awareness to how these internal narratives and external experiences influence anxiety, depression, mood and self-esteem.

I received my masters in social work from Adelphi University. I worked as a social work director for a number of years previously but I stopped because I really preferred more face to face time with my patients. I got so much more from my time counseling than being in a management position. Over my 22 years as a social worker, I've come across many people with diverse issues and truly have enjoyed all of my experiences as they helped form the person I am, the therapist I am. Much of my experience is working with anxiety, depression, bereavement, couples counseling, life transitions, stress management, cancer and chronic illness counseling, palliative care counseling, caregiver support and community resource and referral.
People always tell me that I'm a good listener. This is my greatest accomplishment and one I'm most proud of because as your therapist I want to HEAR you. I want to join you in your pain or difficulties and help you find your way through them. I may not have experienced what you have specifically gone through or are facing now, but I know how to find my way in to how you are feeling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years of mental health care experience. I received my master’s degree from the City College of New York, CUNY and began my career and training in evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness.
Using my extensive training in these practices, I work with individuals, couples, and families to help them connect how their past experiences play a role in their current feelings, behaviors, interactions, and relationships.
I have expertise in treating depression, anxiety, attention disorders, panic disorder, and other conditions such as insomnia. I am vested in building stronger coping skills and working alongside clients to help achieve their goals.
