As a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) with 17 years of hands-on experience, I've had the privilege of guiding countless individuals through life's toughest moments, helping them rediscover their inner strength and joy. I graduated from Adelphi University in 2007, where I honed my skills in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, but what truly sets me apart is my deep commitment to seeing each client as a unique person with their own story, dreams, and potential. My practice is built on a foundation of empathy, integrity, and genuine care — I don't just listen; I truly hear you, validating your experiences without judgment. Over the years, I've supported people from all walks of life, whether they're navigating the fog of anxiety, the weight of grief, or the complexities of relationships, always tailoring my approach to what resonates most with you. Clients often tell me they feel an immediate sense of relief knowing they're in a space where vulnerability is met with compassion and expertise. I'm passionate about holistic well-being, incorporating mind-body connections and practical strategies that extend beyond the session room into your daily life. What drives me? Witnessing those transformative "aha" moments when someone realizes they have the power to shape their future. If you're ready to invest in yourself and explore how therapy can unlock a more empowered, fulfilling path, I invite you to reach out — let's start this journey together and see how far you can go.
I am a psychiatrist with over fifteen year of experience with children, adolescents and adults, and am dually board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Following undergraduate studies at Barnard College, Columbia University and after medical school, I completed my psychiatry residency at Tufts University and my fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
In addition to my clinical work, I have expertise in medical ethics focused on issues of consent, capacity, and shared decision-making in healthcare and for research trials. I also remain dedicated to teaching and mentorship of undergraduates, medical students and trainees.
Hi, I'm Madeleine Silverstein, a licensed clinical therapist with 10 years of experience supporting adults, teens, and families using a trauma-informed, integrative approach. I hold master's degrees in Social Work and Applied Behavior Analysis, and my background spans inpatient hospitals, residential treatment, schools, and outpatient settings. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your journey toward healing and growth.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and authenticity.
In 2009 I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Community and Youth Development from Nazareth University in 2009. This training shaped my holistic understanding of human development, relationships, and the meaningful role that community, purpose, and life experiences play in mental health.
In 2014 I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher University, where I developed a solid foundation in evidence-based therapeutic practices and client-centered care. With this educational background and years of personal experience, I developed a strong passion for supporting others.
I utilize a multi-theoretical basis for all my clients. For my practice, trust, warmth and communication are the foundations of a good therapeutic relationship. I have a specialty in child/adolescent/family issues. However, I see many young adults who have issues feeling at ease and confident in their relationships and workplace. I endeavor to lift my clients out of the dark place that may be weighing them down to finding the solutions that will enable them to live freely.
Throughout my professional journey, I have worked in diverse settings such as correctional facilities, court systems, schools, and community mental health centers. These experiences have provided me with extensive insight into the challenges faced by individuals affected by the criminal legal system and have reinforced my commitment to abolitionist practices.
