Credentials and Experience
I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Oklahoma and Colorado, a board-certified counselor (NCC), and hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision - which means I don't just practice therapy, I train and supervise other therapists. That clinical depth shapes everything about how I work with clients.
My specialization is neurocounseling: integrating what we know about the brain and nervous system into practical, grounded therapy. I also hold specialized training in telehealth - so working with you virtually isn't a workaround, it's where I do my best work.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, identity, and the particular kind of exhaustion that comes from holding everything together for too long.
I’m a somatic therapist specializing in helping people understand and regulate their nervous systems, especially those who struggle with body awareness, sensory overload, and emotional regulation. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, burned out, disconnected from their bodies, or stuck in survival mode without fully understanding why.
I’m also a neurodivergent (AuDHD) therapist who works with late-diagnosed ADHD, autistic, and AuDHD adults. I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work, which allows me to understand firsthand the challenges of sensory overload, overwhelm, and identity shifts that often accompany neurodivergence.
I support clients navigating major life transitions—such as adjusting to a diagnosis, rethinking identity, navigating relationships, or making decisions about parenting—along with associated grief, burnout, and nervous system dysregulation. I also work with clients processing trauma or grief related to earlier life experiences.
My work integrates somatic therapy, EMDR, TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and brainspotting to help clients process stress and build regulation skills. My goal is to create a space where clients feel understood, seen, and able to reconnect with their body in ways that feel safe and sustainable.
I have been a counselor for 40 years, working with individuals, couples, families and groups with psychological as well as addiction issues. I have extensive experience in inpatient as well as outpatient settings. I am eclectic in my evaluation and treatment methods, which gives me flexibility to treat individual needs. Primarily, I use cognitive-behavioral techniques. Many of my clients suffer with depression, anger, and anxiety (panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder); all of which impact potential addictions. I also treat couples and families to better understand their dynamics and to improve their communication skills.
My background consists of psychological testing and understanding personalities. This has helped in my work with children, adolescents, & families. I enjoy working with gay and straight couples, to help them with empathy and communication. I do extensive cognitive work as well as teaching techniques with people suffering from anxiety, anger, and addictions.
I encourage self-awareness to stimulate one's potential. Understanding oneself is essential to reducing anxiety, depression & anger (and in improving relationships). I teach relaxation, meditation, & self-hypnosis techniques to improve personal balance. I guide couples and families to improve relationships through empathy, acceptance, and communication.
With over a decade of experience as a school counselor in the public system, I have dedicated my career to helping adolescents navigate the turbulent waters of modern growth. I believe in a holistic approach—partnering with parents to foster resilience, academic success, and strong family communication.
Beyond the classroom, I hold a deep, personal commitment to women’s ministry. I provide a sacred, confidential space for women navigating the pain of divorce or seeking healing through post-abortion recovery. My practice is founded on the belief that no matter the complexity of your past, there is a clear, hopeful path to restoration.
Whether I’m guiding a student toward their future or walking alongside a woman through her deepest season of healing, my mission is to ensure every person feels seen, valued, and empowered.
I am a bilingual therapist offering therapy in Japanese and English for individuals and couples. I specialize in trauma and relationship-focused work, using a somatic approach to help clients feel more grounded, connected, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. I bring a multicultural lens to my work with clients from diverse backgrounds. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or relationship challenges. I offer a supportive space to slow down, make sense of these experiences, and find greater clarity and connection. I am currently accepting new clients.
