Professionally, I have spent a decade in education (five years as a classroom teacher and five years as a school counselor). This is my third year as a therapist outside of the school setting.
For my masters degree, I attended Texas State University in San Marcos, TX (Eat 'em up cats!). At Texas State, I completed my MA in Professional Counseling with two focuses: school counseling and clinical mental health.
As a former educator, the populations I support include adolescents, young adults, educators, parents/guardians, and caretakers.
Since 2011, I have worked with women at all stages of pregnancy and motherhood, including those who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss or complications, birth trauma, a NICU stay and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders.
I am dedicated to providing support to parents and being a mom myself, I understand the joys and hardships!
I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin and I have a BS in Psychology from Texas State University.
I earned my M.Ed. in Counselor Education from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. My path into the counseling field has been shaped by a deep passion for both the healing process and holistic wellness. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various levels of care, including residential and intensive outpatient settings, where I gained invaluable clinical experience and a deeper appreciation for mental health care..
I am a Licensed Psychologist in Texas and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist who specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults with social-emotional, behavioral, and educational needs. I received my Ph.D. in School Psychology from New York University in 2008 and completed an APA-approved clinical psychology internship at the Devereux Foundation in Pennsylvania. I have received training in both private and public school settings, outpatient settings, hospitals, and in specialized educational programs for children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. I participated in a Family and Multicultural Therapy program for two years at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City where I received supervised family therapy and multicultural competency-based training. In addition to my clinical work, I am an Assistant Professor in the School Psychology Program at Texas State University. My research seeks to understand and promote diversity and inclusion in educational settings. I am particularly interested in studying the development of and consequences associated with children’s social (e.g., gender stereotypes) and academic (e.g., growth mindset) cognitions. My research also involves developing and evaluating interventions to promote positive social and academic outcomes.
I primarily work with men and older teenage boys (17+) dealing with anxiety, emotional shutdown, anger, panic, burnout, shame, relationship struggles, trauma, or a constant feeling of being stuck in survival mode. Many of my clients are highly self-aware but still feel trapped repeating the same patterns despite understanding themselves intellectually.
My style is direct, grounded, and practical without becoming cold or overly clinical. I work especially well with clients who are tired of vague therapy conversations and want help understanding what is actually driving the problem beneath the surface. I’ve worked in settings ranging from emergency rooms to juvenile facilities, and those experiences shaped a therapy style focused on clarity, accountability, emotional honesty, and meaningful forward movement.
I'm Brad and I'm a therapist in North Austin who specializes in treating PTSD, depression, and anxiety. My style has been described as compassionate, mindful, and relational. My primary modality is Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a structured intervention which treats PTSD by challenging unproductive beliefs generated by the traumatic event.
Hi, I am a Somatic Experiencing practitioner and experiential therapist. I work with clients who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, perfectionism, and persistent self-doubt—often sensing there’s more ease and confidence possible, but not quite knowing how to get there.
Hello and welcome! I'm Jaron, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Austin, TX. I'm passionate about helping people navigate problems with anxiety, self-esteem, grief and loss, identity exploration, and trauma. I also enjoy working with couples to address communication difficulties and improve emotional closeness and understanding.
Psychiatric symptoms deserve the same seriousness, expertise, and unwavering support as any medical condition. I know seeking help takes courage. I know healing rarely follows a straight line.
I strive to empower clients to regain agency of their own health and well-being. With 30+ years of being a therapist, I understand that making desired changes can be challenging and fulfilling at the same time.
My name is Heba Hatoum, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
