Welcome. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in PA and MI. I believe in providing a non-judgmental space and personal connection to open up the opportunity for you to explore what's causing strain in your life: grief, anxiety, depression, past trauma, or other challenges. I offer practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.
If you're feeling exhausted, anxious, weary, or down.. I believe there is a way to strengthen your sense of self, set realistic expectations and boundaries that value your needs, and bring yourself and your loved ones the best of you.
I’m a warm, solution-focused, and person-centered therapist who values direct and authentic communication. My approach is grounded in respect and collaboration, working with clients to navigate challenges and build meaningful change. I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing psychosis, OCD, and autism, and also have expertise in ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, BPD, and suicidal ideation. I work with clients across a range of concerns, including grief, relationship struggles, men’s and women’s issues, and PTSD. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to grow.
I am an experienced therapist helping individual clients cope with addictions, trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I also work with couples on common struggles such as conflict resolution, lack of connection, and reduced physical intimacy. I use evidence-based methods enabling clients to achieve their desired goals.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I bring a unique perspective to therapy through an uncommon journey from science to counseling. Holding a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Virology, I transitioned mid-career to the field of mental health out of a deep curiosity about the human condition and a desire to help others find meaning, balance, and resilience in their lives. I am passionate about working with adults navigating life’s many challenges—from managing anxiety and addressing the inner critic to coping with stress and life changes such as job-related burnout, career transitions, bereavement, stepping into a caregiving role, or adjusting to a new health diagnosis.”
I am a husband, a father of two adult children, and a corgi dad. I am not a true Mainer as I moved here about 4 years ago from Pennsylvania where I spent most of my life. But, I have adopted Maine as my own. I love the outdoors and spend as much time as I can in them.
As far as the more formal stuff, I spent a lot of time in school. My credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ursinus College, a Masters of Education in Counseling from Rutgers University, an Executive Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from California Pacific University, a Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Juris Doctorate in Law all from Widener University.
I have 20+ years management experience in behavioral health, managed care, academia and private practice settings. I have run my private practice for more than 30 years, have been a program administrator, corporate compliance/privacy officer, clinical director, program chairperson, and director of quality management during my career. I have taught at more than 20 colleges and universities. I have advised, supervised, trained, and taught hundreds of graduate students and professional counselors. I have also presented at many state, regional and national conferences and provided numerous trainings to social service and criminal justice professionals.

Hi, I’m a licensed clinician committed to creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, trauma, life transitions, and relationship concerns. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, integrating evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based interventions, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed approaches, while also providing clinical and forensic evaluation services. My goal is to help clients feel supported, understood, and empowered in their growth.
I CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE SESSION AVAILABILITY AFTER 4 PM.
I enjoy working with individuals who are going through life-changing events or transitions. These may include career changes, marriage or divorce, moving/relocating, educational transitions, parenting or grief and loss. It's important to recognize that everyone has unique experiences and reactions to life transitions. You may struggle with fear, uncertainty, or resistance to change, while others may embrace it with excitement. By acknowledging and validating your emotions, I will create a non-judgmental environment that allows you to express yourself freely and navigate through this time in your life and find meaning and joy in the experience.
