I am a firm believer in the power of talk therapy. I love the connection we develop in therapy and helping my patients on their path towards finding a life worth living. I graduated in 2014 and currently hold the title of Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in various areas, most notably Partial Hospitalization with adolescents. I became trained in DBT and utilize a solution focused approach. I support my clients through crisis and whatever life throws at them.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over fifteen years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. As a clinician with many years of experience working in schools, I also collaborate with teachers and other professionals when appropriate. I rock my glasses of the day and truly embody a therapist with my daily cardigans.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming. I am a therapist who will listen to what you need and assist you with achieving your personal goals. During the therapeutic process you will be able to understand more about yourself, as well as what role your environment plays in your life. I work from a trauma informed perspective and will be supportive in exploring how past challenges are currently affecting your life. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) within my therapeutic approach, specifically Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which will allow you to learn more about using mindfulness in your life, and in your personal journey through therapy. I have experience working with adults who have Anxiety, Depression, and Bipolar Disorder with a variety of stressors. I look forward to connecting and being able to support you.
As a License Mental Health Counselor I believe the small steps leads to bigger wins! Seeking therapy is the beginning of your journey. I have been practicing for the past four years and have recently shifted my focus to a more diverse group of individuals.
