Hi, I’m Bushra. I provide therapy for Asian American, Queer, and Muslim clients through an intersectional lens. I have 9 years of experience working with clients who are managing day-to-day anxiety, navigating an unjust society, working through their identity and cultural expectations, and figuring out relationships—whether that’s with family, friends, partners, or themselves. I believe that we’re all human doing our best to move through a complicated world. The choices we make don’t come out of nowhere. They’re shaped by our environments, our histories, families, and the systems we live within.

Hi, I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor–Diagnostic (LMHC-D) and CASAC with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I work with adults and adolescents facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, personality concerns, substance use, and life stress. My approach is warm, supportive, and practical. I use tools from CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to help you better understand yourself and make real, lasting changes. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and empowered to move forward.
As someone who has undergone her own adversities, I can sincerely say that I know how elusive achieving change and growth can be, but I also know that change is possible. Navigating through the difficulties and stressors that life inevitably brings us can be challenging and difficult to do alone, which is why I am a firm believer that healing begins the moment we feel heard. I have worked in mental health clinics, inpatient psychiatric settings and group practice settings, but have found that I excel in private practice where I have the ability to offer one on one, individualized psychotherapy.
I believe in continuing the pursuit of normalizing mental health treatment. It can be challenging going through the process of accepting and creating the momentum to take those steps, but it is a testament to your personal strength. I have been providing therapy services since 2021 as a Licensed Master Social Worker, and have been providing services as a fully licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2025. I work with clients between the ages of 18-75 who experience a range of mental health conditions and needs.
I am dual board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. After several years of clinical practice, I earned my doctoral degree in 2021. My experience spans both behavioral and family health settings, including hospital-based behavioral health units, partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient care.
I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, panic disorder, and PTSD. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice and emphasizes holistic, collaborative care.
Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, goals, and values through a shared decision-making process.
I am committed to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment and to addressing disparities in mental health care. If you’re struggling, you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to support you with compassion, expertise, and care.
Welcome. If you’ve come this far, I imagine you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, and frustrated - that life lacks in the meaning, vitality, and belonging that you would desire for yourself. Sometimes, despite our best efforts to overcome our problems, we can feel lost and demoralized. Should this resonate with your experience, allow me to share about my practice and how I might help. I am a clinical psychologist with a broad range of expertise and specialize in trauma, loss, and related problems of identity, relationships, and meaning.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I received my Master's from Syracuse University and my Bachelor's from Houghton University. Beyond the therapy room, I have worked with addiction for over 17 years and severe persistent mental illnesses for 3 years. Today I focus on treating mental health issues - whether with couples and marriages, families, or individuals - from a relational lens.
