As a father of two boys, I understand how important mental balance is for a fulfilling life. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you feel heard and valued. While I am a medical provider, I don't believe in just "treating symptoms" I believe in treating the whole person.

With more than 16 years providing care for families through the lifespan, I specialize in trauma, autism/ADHD, depression, and anxiety disorders. A Florida and Polk County native, Mirtha is a graduate of Frostproof High School. She is board certified as both a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and an Autonomous Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She earned a Bachelor's of Nursing from Polk State and a Master's of Nursing from USF. In 2023 Mirtha earned a Post Master's Certification in Psychiatry from Florida Atlantic University. However, her journey as a mental health provider began in 2020 when she became certified through the Academy of Christian Counseling, as a mental health coach. Then in January of 2025 she became an active member of the Order of Saint Luke (OSL) a healing ministry.

Mirtha has nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare. Her passion is caring for individuals struggling with mental health issues. She has been volunteering with the youth in her community for over 7 years and also has experience working in a domestic violence shelter with victims of trauma.

I’m a warm and charismatic PMHNP who takes a holistic and participatory approach to care. I specialize in treating depression and anxiety, helping clients feel empowered and supported throughout their healing journey.

Makenson is board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with a Master degree in nursing Practice (MSN). He is very passionate about providing high quality of comprehensive mental health services to adolescents and adults. Makenson possesses strong clinical skills which enables him to build rapport with patients and families. He follows evidence-based practices, combined with clinical experience, good intuition and observation. As a PHMNP, Makenson's role is versatile, including patient's advocate, psychotherapy and ,therapist.
